The Uvalde National Fish Hatchery is located 3.5 miles west of the city of Uvalde. It occupies 100 acres along the Old Eagle Pass Road about 2 miles southwest of US 90. The hatchery provides fish requested by federal and state biologists for public waters in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Utah, and Washington. The primary species raised are native and Florida largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Striped Bass, Northern and Walleye Pike. Hiking, picnicking, and birding are popular here. Open 9 - 4 / M - F |
